Set in the peace and quiet of the Anacapri countryside and on the path to the Migliera, Villa la Rugiada looks out towards the island of Ischia and enjoys the sunsets; on clear days, my eyes, lose themselves in the sea that flows towards the horizon and the islands of the Pontine archipelago. The colour of the flowering bougainvillea brings my attention back towards the luxuriant garden: the bunches of grapes hanging over the stone steps, the abundance of the vegetable garden on the right.
I was welcomed by Paola and Francesco into a home that is full of warmth and hospitality and, in the true B&B tradition,

they offer the opportunity of getting to know the local folklore and traditions.
From this house I can discover the island of Capri in its natural settings: from here various paths climb up Monte Solaro or wander towards the coast to spectacular view points; I am but a few minutes from the centre of Anacapri town and from the bus stop, from which buses can take me to the beach, to the famous crowded piazza of Capri or to the main port.
I look up just in time to admire the last rays of the sun that are slowly disappearing behind the waves of the sea; I shall never forget this incredible view.
